What is THCa?

THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is a cannabinoid found in raw and live cannabis plants. Unlike Delta 9 THC, THCa is non-psychoactive in its natural form, meaning it doesn’t cause a “high” until it’s heated, which converts THCa into psychoactive Delta 9 THC. THCa isolate is concentrated through a solventless process that removes terpenes from rosin, leaving behind only THCa. Unlike Delta-8, Delta-10, THCO, and HHC, which are synthetically derived, THCa occurs naturally in every hemp plant. Since THCa is a natural product, it fits right in with Rebel Spirit’s ethic of being all-natural, all the time.

What are the effects of THCa and how do they differ from THC?

THCa in its raw form does not produce psychoactive effects, meaning it won’t make you feel "high." It is often consumed for its potential wellness benefits, such as anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties. When heated, THCa converts into THC, which does cause psychoactive effects, such as euphoria, altered perception, and relaxation. This makes THCa versatile for users who want the option of experiencing either the therapeutic benefits of raw THCa or the psychoactive effects of THC.

How should I consume THCa for the best results?

To activate its psychoactive effects, THCa needs to be decarboxylated, typically through smoking, vaping, or cooking. Once heated, THCa converts into THC, providing the desired psychoactive effects.

What is CBD?

Rebel Spirit Hemp products are naturally high in CBD (cannabidiol), one of the most abundant cannabinoids found in cannabis and hemp plants. Unlike THC, CBD doesn’t produce a "high" and is often used by people seeking the potential therapeutic benefits of cannabis without the psychoactive effects. CBD works by interacting with the body's endocannabinoid system, specifically targeting CB2 receptors that are primarily found in the immune system and peripheral organs.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes are naturally occurring aromatics found in plants. Terpenes make a rose smell like a rose, an orange smell citrusy, and the woods smell like pine trees. In terms of cannabis, terpenes are what make certain strains smell or taste different from others.

The terpene profile of a strain works in tandem with the cannabinoid content (THC, THCa, CBD, and other cannabinoids) to produce the effects people associate with different strains. Thus, the same level of THC in two distinct strains can produce different effects in the consumer based on each strain’s terpenes.

What is the “entourage effect”?

The entourage effect provides that all the compounds in cannabis work together to create a better effect than when taken alone.

How is the entourage effect relevant to Rebel Spirit Hemp products?

Our hemp contains a high percentage (15%—19%) of CBD, combined with 30%+ THCa and natural terpenes to create effects that are variously Relaxing (Indica), Uplifting (Sativa), and Balanced (Hybrid).

THC can cause anxiety, hunger, and sedation, and research suggests that CBD can reduce these side effects. Rebel Spirit Hemp products provide the perfect balance of THCa, CBD, and terpenes to produce an inspiring sensory experience.

Consumers use Rebel Spirit products to relax, ease their aches and pains, celebrate with friends, get creative, and enhance their life experiences.
